Engine 5 Rescue 5 Engine 1 Rescue 1 Ambulance 56-7 Ambulance 34-7 Ambulance 34-7A Medic 108 and Medic 53 were dispatched to West Chester Pike and Old West Chester Pike for a Multi Vehicle accident with entrapment. Engine 53 with Manoa 5 were advised while enroute of an Oil Tanker being involved in the accident. Manoa 5 requested Engine 32 the foam pumper from Brookline and Spill Unit 3 for the possible Haz-Mat incident. Engine 53 and Engine 12 arrived on location and found the accident to be involving an SUV Mini Van Box Type Truck and an Oil Tanker. The Oil Tanker hit the SUV and the hit the Mini Van and then struck the rear of the Box Truck heavily entrapping the driver. Members from Rescue 5 Rescue 1 Engine 53 and Engine 12 all went into service with multiple hydraulic tools rescue tools and several sawzalls. The members from the rescue companies worked on removing the drivers door and displacing the dash and cutting the brake and gas petals. Medic 108 command requested Pennstar 1 and Pennstar 2 to both fly into the scene. Crew from Engine 32 secured all hazards after determining the Oil truck was not leaking any of the fuel oil in the tank. Engine 32s crew also handled the precautionary hand line for the Rescue Crews and the Landing zone for Pennstar which landed on the pike right next to the scene. Crew remained on scene one hour and 25 minutes.
