span stylecolor rgb20 24 35 font-family helvetica arial sans-serif font-size 14px line-height 19.32pxThe Delaware County Task Force consisting of Squad 56 Manoa Ladder 35 Brookline Engine 50 Middletown and Squirt 43 Holmes assisted Philadelphia Fire Department with standby coverage for the Papal Visit to the City of Philadelphia on Sunday September 27th. The crew from Manoa consisted of 6 firefighters on Squad 56 and 56-9 Chief Norman the Delco Task Force Leader. Additionally our Station was fully staffed with over ten firefighters for any emergencies in or around the township.spannbspspan stylecolor rgb20 24 35 font-family helvetica arial sans-serif font-size 14px line-height 19.32pxThe crew arrived at the station at 2 am and departed Manoa Fire Company at 3am to start their shift at 4am to relieve the Chester County Task Force. The Task Force was staged at the Philadelphia Airport Training Facility. The original assignment was a 12 hour shift from 4am to 4pm. Shortly before lunch the crews were briefed by the airport fire chief requested us to stay until 8pm due to a private party and send off that included the Vice President that was being held on the airport property. Fortunately we were not called into action and the visit went off perfectly.
